Colorado Bureau of Land Management

Bureau of Land Management Colorado BLM offers you a challenge to discover the diversity of each of its recreation sites. It may take a summer or two, but you¹ll learn a great deal about our state and public lands, and maybe even a little bit of history.

Maximum length of stay at all sites is 14 days even though amenities vary. Some sites charge a fee, while others are free; some sites are open year round, some only for 6 months.

For a listing of sites and what they offer click on the area below that interests you.

South Central Colorado     Northwest Colorado      Southwest Colorado

BLM allows camping within undeveloped areas also, which can be one of the greatest recreational adventures on public lands. Undeveloped area camping requires a little more planning and special care to keep the area clean, prevent wildfires, and avoid other harmful surface disturbances. You can obtain a land status map from BLM to help with your adventure.
